Some Days

All I can do is sit there.
And think.

Note to self:

Wet-stretching a piece of watercolor paper doesn't work very well when it's 110 (no joke) degrees outside.

Luckily it didn't warp bad enough to make me think I need to re-start it, but I'll be sure to plan my stretching schedule around cooler hours of the day from this point on.

So much work to do be done... but my computer doesn't function more than simple text programs in this heat. I want to scan but I can't because if it weren't for the computer overheating, I bet the scanner would. Meh. I wish I had air conditioning. But I'm moving to a building that doesn't have every window facing the morning sun sometime next month. Hoorah! Still, I'd like to kick the nuts of whoever designed this apartment.

In other news... still trying to decide if it's feasible to make it out to Burning Man this year. The convention I originally (accidentally) planned for that same week got canceled-- so my schedule is wide open for it. But my car would not make it, for one. And for two, and I lack camping equipment beyond personal necessities simply because I do not have space to store a tent and such in this tiny apartment-- so it'd be the option of me finding someone to ride with and camp with. Heh, when I went camping last year I just slept in the open air, but something about middle of the desert makes me think this isn't the best ide. We'll see. It might happen, it might not. I gotta make a decision pretty soon so I can make sure to get time off, though.

Spring cleaning the Little House of STUFF
I just spent most of my day taking EVERYTHING out of my closet, some things out of my home, and making three piles.

1) stuff I love or will use. (about 15% of my belongings)

2) stuff I think I SHOULD love or use, like easel, airbrush, unfinished costumes, and oterwise mostly boxes of stuff I don't need that contain personal info or nuggets of awesome that I need to go through. (About 70% of my belongings)

3) everything else AKA goodwill/sell/giveaway. (the remaining 15%)

And pretty much 60-70 % of the stuff under column 2 is going AWAY.

And now I eat beef on rice and go to a game night!

Also, I swam 3.5 miles this week, and am allergic to the pool so I can't do backstroke or I start coughing uncontrollably when the water touches the back of my throat. Last day is 23rd, I am using this well!! yay!

Making arrangements to meet someone at a cafe to drop off books and stuff. "Oh no!" I thought, after confirming the time, "how will we recognize each other?"

*pause*

*look at boots*

*look at giant kingfisher tattoo*

Yeah, probably not much of a concern. Remind me not to ever commit any crimes that will involve me getting dragged into a police line-up...

The Justice of Divine Judgment
Revelation 20-11:15

Every person will face God on judgment day. Whenever that topic comes up, I am usually asked something like, "What about remote African tribes that will never hear about Jesus?" The concerned questioner is really wondering, How could a loving Lord send an ignorant person to hell? In other words, How can it be fair to condemn those who have never heard the gospel?

To understand how God judges, we should recognize two truths about Him. First, He's not limited. While whole groups still have no Scripture in their language, God always reaches individuals whose hearts are open to knowing Him. Men like Abraham and Moses had no spiritual training or Scriptures, and the Lord spoke to them.

Second, God reveals Himself to all people, whether or not they have access to the Bible. He demonstrates His power and attributes through creation. He also programs our conscience to understand the basic distinctions between right and wrong.

For those blessed to hear the gospel at some point, Jesus Christ is the greatest revelation of God in their life. When people stand before the Father, He'll judge them on three criteria from the amount of truth that each has been exposed, to how many opportunities there were to accept the truth and share it with others; and what was done with those opportunities. The believer's responsibility is to reach as many as possible with the gospel so that no one need ask, "What about those who've never heard of Jesus?"

ANNGGHG. *collapse* DONE. Fucking paper, I kicked your ass.

TOMORROW I PACK UP (almost) EVERYTHING in my dorm, and spend the next three days studying for Developmental Bio, ohgod. Is it time? Can I go home yet? Can I just do that?

I can't wait until the depression hits like four days after being home when I don't have a million people around, though. Liz, we need to love on each other constantly to prevent this from occurring. CONSTANTLY.

I want to draw. Iunno what. FIRST SLEEP.

Mah Jong Quest III
Mah Jong Quest III is live on iwin.com!! This is the game I did a lot of work on.. I did character designs, user interface (the main game screen and buttons, which were all optimized by Jan later), and.. well I did a lot of stuff for it. I guess you could say I helped establish a lot of the game's look and was even able to give some feedback on game mechanics. My friend Amie did the level backgrounds and my friend Chris did the comics. You can play for free for an hour I think!

Musica maestro!
The frogs are at it again.

They perform a full concert every night, and nothing seems to bother them for they never stop. Go out and scream at them, throw a rock in the canal, they will just respond to the provocations like Bono to the cheering of his audience.

This happens pretty much every night.

Right now there's a car parked a little further down the street and its stereo's playing really loud techno music. From here I can only hear the beat though.

It kind of sounds like it's giving the chorus of frogs a tempo to follow.
I have to say it's pretty damn nice to listen to! =D

The stickers have arrived!
Two days ago I received the Canine Colors stickers on my doorstep. They look really fantastic! Preorders are all in the mail, so you all should be getting them fairly soon. Here are five sticker sets and examples of what is in each of them all laid out:

Each sticker is printed on Polyester with a glossy finish, and is super durable. Some of them were on the outside of the package they came in on my doorstep, and were not tarnished at all! They are each dicut (cut around the edge of the image) and come on little squares of backing paper for easy peeling.

Each sticker set comes in it's own package, and come with the stickers you see here: Seven colored doggies and five canine pawprints. Each set is $12usd each, and I'll be selling them at conventions I attend. I will be at Rocky Mountain Fur Con on memorial day weekend with these puppies. =3

If you want to order them online, just send me an email at wolfnymph @ gmail.com! I ship worldwide, and take international money orders, US checks, and Paypal payments. Please be prepared to pay minimal shipping fees is you are ordering online. That's all! Hope you enjoy them!

Here are some photos of my progress of putting the sticker sets together:

They came in sheets

I diced them up

And put them in cute little packages!

Those Who Have Never Heard
Romans 1:18-25

In manycountries, the gospel can't be shared freely. Repressive governmentsand religions stop Christians from telling others about Jesus. However,God is mightier than oppression. Where human messengers can't carry thegood news, the Lord is revealing Himself to those whose hearts areopen.

First, Timothy chapter two says God wants everyone to come to a savingknowledge of Him. Romans chapter 1 shows He is holy and just, but Hecan't overlook man's sinful condition, which renders all guilty andwithout excuse. He will not admit people into heaven unless they'veacknowledged their need for a Savior.

But, our Father is also fair and merciful. He makes Hispresence known to every person so each one may choose to recognize Hissovereignty. The Lord does this by revealing Himself to all mankind intwo ways: through conscience and creation.

First, He has imbedded His basic moral guidelines in the humanconscience. In other words, at some point in life, every sane personhas an innate sense that certain actions are right and others arewrong.

Second, the Creator displays His power and divine nature through whatHe has made. The complexity, variety, order, and beauty of the worldall point to an intelligent Designer. We can't pinpoint every methodthe Lord uses to reveal Himself. Yet we can be sure nothing will stopHim from reaching out to people who follow conscience and creation tothe logical conclusion… the existence of a loving, sovereign God.
