Doctor Frederick Halfmoon - (Zeno Campedelli)

Hey! Yesterday night I watched UP in 3D with my old friends and I liked it very much. Personally I think it's a nice story powered by amazingly crazy ideas in a positive way; those character designers did a wonderful job, personally I'd have never imagined such a spectacular result. I really loved all those graphic details here and there, and I particularly liked the main character (Carl Fredricksen) because he looks like my grandfather! XD

Well, talking more seriously, I also liked the figure of Charles F. Muntz; it's a pity he gets so insane, lunatic and paranoid for that stupid bird. However he confirms my theory: often the antagonist could be a lot more fascinating and knotty than the main character. Personally I don't think he should die like that ... ok, he tried to kill Russel and burn Mr. Fredricksen's house, but that's not a good reason to let him die; he's an old grumpy bastard, but personally I think that a good dose of humiliation (mixed with some adverse conditions) would have been enough for him. In other words, he should suffer and slowly pay for what he did.

Anyway I confess that I love Muntz's airship; a character of mine (invented 8 years ago) also uses a big airship prototype to reach South America ... how IRONIC!!! BTW, when I saw that "fossil chamber" I was litterally drooling, I thought "somebody has stolen my ideas!" ;) :P

Well, now I want to show you how it sounds in Italian: I hope you'll like it!

I think I'll love this series, I checked a couple of things and it's just perfect; They respected the Italian history adding some 'pepper' in all the right places. I just hope they'll show something more about Milan, but Florence is just perfect! =D

I suggest you to take a look here ... ;)

Recently I watched an old movie: Allegro non troppo (1977), it's the burlesque Italian version of the famous movie Fantasia (1940); it's nice, maybe a bit vulgar for the presence of cartoonish nudity sometimes, but very funny. I like Bruno Bozzetto's style, the surname itself says it all: "Bozzetto" means "Sketch" ... it's like to say Bruno Sketch!!! XD

Well, this is one of those animated pieces.
Antonin Dvorak - Slavonic Dance No.7 Opus 46

(Warning: Cartoonish asses are shown at the end of the clip)

Hi everybody! Finally I can take a couple of minutes to tell you how my short vacation was ... =D ;)
I really enjoyed it, and I have to say that I'm really happy to see how Italy is working; Mr Berlusconi is working in a pretty good way, his allied parties are fixing a lot of "historical" defects and our economy is in good health after all. Yes!!! Italy is not suffering this global crisis (at least not that much); the basic difference between Italy and other countries is the non-existent lack of money, problems are 'simply' caused by a bad administration of capitals on the highest spheres. Here in Spain there're a lot of problems for example: People and banks are running out of money ... factories, big companies, construction sites, shops and restaurants are closing; in Italy only few companies are suffering these problems, it's a pretty restrained crisis for now. :P ;D

Anyway, let's talk about about other things:
I spent a lot of time with my friends and I finally had the occasion to watch The Dark Knight, Madagascar 2 and Il Cosmo sul Comò (The Universe on the Dresser); The Dark Knight is a spectacular movie, I'd give it 10 points over 10, but I didn't like it that much ... it's a wonderful movie, but it's not a comic anymore; personally I was expecting something different, I'd have appreciated it in the right way without Batman Begins. BTW, Madagascar 2 was absolutely hilarious ... those penguins are the best!!! XD

Ok, these are three funny comedians: Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo ... they're pretty famous in Italy! =)
I wanted to post something about them, but they often play with phrases that only Italians can understand;

However I found this, you can understand it because it doesn't have words! ;D
Here you go! The opening credits of their old show and a short videoclip, Enjoy!

Note: "Va'a dà via 'l cuu" is a tipical Milanese phrase in dialect; it means "Go and sell your ass away!" translated word by word ... it's not that vulgar,  it's like to say "Get lost!" :P --- BTW, the voice in the opening credits (Aldo) is not completely Italian, he speaks with his typical southern accent!

Sometimes people need some good music ... and sometimes you can find it in good movies! =)
I want to dedicate this little post to a wonderful composition prepared for one of the best movies in our history:

Well, I found another song ... and I have to say that I love it. ;)
I feel so nostalgic right now!!! I miss my land!

It's strange: this song vaguely remind me something "Irish" or something "Country"; what do you think about it? :P Well, it's Monzese-Folk music.
I hope you like it! (please, let me know something I'd be curious to know if you can understand it with translation) XD

Some sketches after a long radio silence ... well, I was busy as you know (anyway that big project is stillin my to-do-list and it's almost done ;)
Architecture, concepts for a romanesque chapel between the mountains in a story of mine. They're just doodles, I didn't spent much time on perspective and details. I drew these when I was in my office; my boss won't be back before the 20th fo March and I had to fill 9 hours! :P XD

BTW, how's my new watermark? =) Personally I think that's a lot better than the previous version ... I think it's more "fresh".
Comments are WELCOME!!! =D

Do you prefer the version with porch and apse or the one without apse and porch (just above the ruined one; the version with double window and small bell)?

I had a beautiful dream yesterday night:

I dreamt that I was in the '20s and I met Max Raabe, he asked me to join him in his orchestra ...
I love their music! Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester, what a dream!!! =D I dreamt that I played the Trumpet, and for being accepted in the Band I had to play something ... so, I decided to play love; No, I'm seriuos!!! XD I played "Playing Love" with my trumpet like Max Tooney in the movie The Legend of 1900!
I was accepted in the Band and we were employed onboard the Mauretania.

It was a very nice dream ... =)
Here's the music I played, unfortunately I didn't find the trumpet version, anyway if you watched the movie you should know it! ;)

I just wann write a short note before going to bed:
I feel pretty good in these days ... not completely great, but good after all! ;D
It's sunny here, I enjoy when the sunlight enters from my terrace windows! =)
Good music is a nice company in these "strange" days.

I'm slowly working on those icons - Sorry for taking so long, but I'm trying to get a real job right now and I spend whole days knocking door by door at all the companies and associations I find, I've already brang (in person) more than 18 curriculums and portfolios, and probably more than 30 or 40 via internet (thanks to my mom). ;P

[info]gatcat, I still need your mail! (BTW, if somebody else has his mail, please, send me a Private LJ Message! Thanks ;)

--------------------------------------------
On another note I want to show you a thing:
I found these two videos with my Ex-professor!!! He's a real artist! =) He's a Liutaio (sorry I didn't find how to translate the word, it means "Musical-Instruments-Maker") and he's a musician too; He basically make medieval Instruments and celtic harps.

Here he plays some classic themes (medieval, celtic and irish themes of course ;) with the whole family: his daughter, his son and his wife (anyway he appears only in the last one).
I'm curious to see your opinion! Please, comment!!! =D

Ladies and Gentlemen, I proudly present ... MICHELE SANGINETO ENSAMBLE!

These are particularly dedicated to [info]_graywolf_! ;D

Ok, I'm in an Arabesque, Moorish ... Middle-Eastern (or what else) mood of mine! Sometimes it happens. XD
I want to share with you this nice video I found on Youtube:

Arab music is so delightful ... Inspiring I would say! =)
Jassim Al-Arroug from Kuwait playing an Oud. (I think the best part is between 1:00-1:30 and 2:00-2:30)
Enjoy! ;D

300 : "This is Sparta" + Crash Bandicoot = THE RANDOMNESS!!! XD
I found this video on Youtube; It's absurd but I like it! ;D

I love Crash Bandicoot videogames, except the latest ones where they stupidly changed the characters' look.
(My favourite ones are Dr. N. Gin and Dr. N. Tropy - Old versions of course =)

EDIT: I can't avoid to post this two old concepts I found on the official website! ;)
